Surely one of the best t20 match we have seen,India almost chased down mamath target set by West indies but bravo’s magical over stopped India to made historical runchase .

India just fell short of one run, only 8 runs required in the last over and 2 runs to win in the last ball and Dhoni was on strike, all three results was possible and we could also have seen match ended in tie but Bravo surprised Dhoni with a slower delivery and dhoni edges that which flies down to Marlon Samuals who takes an easy catch and stops India from wining that match.

KL Rahul scored his first even hundred in a T20 international match and was unbeaten and proved that he is not only a good test match player but also an excellent t20 player and a player to look out in future. He score an unbeaten 110 runs which involved 12 fours and 5 sixes. He completed his century only in 46 balls with a strike rate of over 200.

Dhoni said that the thinking to hit the ball in the last ball was right but he was not able to execute that shot properly.

“It was an amazing game. We couldn’t have expected more from the batting unit. The last ball, the thinking was right but the execution was wrong. Everything is judged by execution,” Dhoni said after the match.

“It is very disappointing to be on the losing side but what’s good to see is that we did not give up half way through,” Rahul said after India’s epic chase of 246 fell short to lose the match by a run yesterday.

“The West Indies had put up a big total for us to chase and what we spoke in the dressing room was to try to take the game as long as we could and the way everyone came and approached this innings was very good to see,” he added.

Speaking of his partnership with captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (43) and the duo’s failure to take India home despite the team needing a mere eight off the last over, Rahul said it was disappointing.

“As soon as he came in, I knew that he will make me run a lot. I was already tired by the time he came, but he kept on pushing me and like I said we just kept things simple out there in the middle. We required 13 runs an over,” he said.

“He said that even if we get 11-12 runs till the sixteenth over, it was ok and we could go big in the last couple of overs. We were favouring one end and hit sixes on that side and we knew that they did not have overs left from their main bowlers in the death.

“That was the plan and we just kept hitting well, kept connecting. We got 11-12 runs easily in an over. Just unfortunate it was one of those days when the game could’ve gone anywhere,” he added.

In the first inning Lewis was the man for west indies who scored his maiden century in t20 international who was given chance in place of the great Chris Gayle. And he didnt disappointed and that resulted in west indies scoring that mamath score.
