Tilakratne Dilshan, an agressive opening batsman of Sri Lanka has not suddenly accounced that he will take retirement from international 50 over cricket on the third odi against the Australia on Sunday and also he will retire from t20 international cricket after playing t20 game of spetember 9 against Australia in Colombo.

The 39 year old Dilshan who was one of the best batsman of Sri Lanka has made 5,492 runs from 87 Tests and 10,248 runs from 329 One Day Internationals (ODI), throughout his internatinal career and that recoed says it all that how much impact he had on Sri lankan cricket team.

Dilshan made his intenational Debut for Sri Lanks in 1999 and was the last player in the team from that century and now its all younsters.He started to play for Sri Lanka in the lower middle order and was in and out of the side but since 2009 he started to open for Sri lanka seeing his good performance and then he score heaps of runs in international cricket in the opening position for sri lanka.

Not only he was an aggresive batsman but also was a handy off spinner and taken 152 international wickets and off course he was a brilliant fielder may be best in sri lankan team ever and one of the best all around the world.

He is known as the creator of his famous shot the DIL SCOOP .Which became famous specially after t20 crikcet came this was his one of the best shots and then became shots of many player over the world started by Dilshan.

He was the top scorer in the tournament in the 2009 t20 world cup,played a lot of Dilscoops in that tournament and was awarded with player of the tournament and also he was the part of the winning squad of Srilanka who won ICC World T20 2014 beating India on the Final in Bangladesh.

Dilshan is the most capped Sri Lankan batsman in the internation t20 and only the fourth player after Jayasurya,Sangakkara and Mahela Jaywardene to score 10,000 plus runs in ODI crikcet for Sri Lanka.

Dilshan already retired from test cricket in 2013 and now he is going to play for last time in international cricket on September 9.He had a beautiful career and one of the best player to play the game of crikcet and we all gonna miss him and wish him good luck for this future.
